About Becca
Becca joined Walcott Communications in 2022 as a senior research impact consultant where she led on a range of projects including the development of a faculty research strategy, a report on best practice for research-policy engagement, a Theory of Change toolkit for a life sciences charity, and delivered a multitude of training workshops and tutorials for Impact Integrators.
Prior to this, Becca developed REF impact case studies and environment statements across a range of faculties for the University of Bristol, which was ranked 12th for impact in the UK. She also co-designed a pilot research evaluation exercise at the University of Gothenburg (2017-2019), Research Evaluation for Development 2019. The report from the exercise has informed ongoing policy decisions at the University and the broader Swedish HE sector.
Now an environmental policy specialist and campaign founder passionate about rivers and the Rights of Nature movement, Becca runs a river pollution campaign in Bristol, which has informed a debate in parliament, sparked a feature-length documentary film, and for which she frequently engages with local and national media.
