About Walcott Communications
Walcott Communications Limited (WCL) is a specialist consultancy dedicated to building impact literacy among academic researchers and fostering cultures that support impactful research. Our clientele primarily consists of UK universities and organisations within the UK research ecosystem, and our reach now extends across Europe, Hong Kong, and Australia. We provide training and advisory services to academic researchers from a wide range of disciplines. Additionally, we collaborate closely with university research professional services staff, such as Research Directors, Knowledge Exchange Managers, and Research Impact Managers, to plan and deliver our services effectively.
Our offerings include training on research impact, which is delivered both face-to-face and online. We also provide direct advice and mentoring to academics, support the development of impact, engagement, and knowledge exchange strategies, and conduct evaluations of the social and economic impact of projects and programs. Presently, a significant portion of our UK-based work focuses on supporting the development of impact case studies for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2029.
WCL is currently a micro business in the process of transitioning to a small business. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to the core values that define our organisation: integrity, collaboration, excellence, and sustainability. Our goal is to expand our higher education client base both within the UK and internationally. We are now seeking an ambitious and highly motivated individual to work alongside our founder, Saskia Walcott, our Business Manager, and team of freelancers, to support both the training and consultancy aspects of the business.
