Impact Mentoring
Guided by the needs of the individual researcher or research team, our impact mentoring sessions provide focused, tailored impact support. The ideal opportunity for exploring impact ambitions, plans, challenges or concerns, the personalised 1:1 sessions offer expert advice in a safe and supportive environment.
Impact Mentoring Sessions
Workshops are ideal for conveying key information and improving general levels of impact literacy, but we find the highest value to researchers is always the opportunity to discuss their impact ambitions on a 1:1 basis.
Our one-off impact mentoring sessions are ideal for individual researchers or research teams who want advice on progressing impact planning, strategic (and ethical) stakeholder engagement and impact evidence considerations.
This is a great way to keep the impact pipeline healthy and to encourage a research culture that demonstrably values and support researchers to progress the impact of their research.
The 1:1 sessions are one hour or 90 minutes and are guided by the needs of the individual research team.
They typically cover:
-
A thorough discussion of an author's existing research areas and their impact ambition
-
Exploring strategies for maximising research impact over a long-term trajectory
-
Guidance on collecting evidence of engagement
-
Suggestions to connect researchers with relevant resources and support structures

For research impact case study authors, 1:1 sessions are part of our ICS support packages.
