About Saskia
Saskia has over 20 years of experience in a variety of senior roles in the Higher Education sector. Starting as Head of Communications and Public Engagement at a national funding council she then moved to a university as a research impact manager. For the last decade, as a specialist research impact consultant, she has worked with many different institutions in the UK and internationally and has first-hand knowledge of the challenges facing researchers and their organisations in realising, demonstrating and communicating economic and societal impact from their research.
Working with research is both a passion and a privilege. Saskia has made that passion and expertise the foundation of what we do at Walcott Communications in supporting institutions and their researchers to develop the strategies and skills they need to maximise their research impact.
Saskia is an ARMA Board Director and Chair of its Professional Development Committee. She also sits on the Training Endorsement Committee for the International Professional Recognition Council (IPRC). Saskia has an MSc in Public Policy and has conducted research on the effect of the UK’s impact policies on arts and humanities scholars.
